GGT installs fencing across the North West for main contractors, councils, utilities and landowners — from post-and-rail and close-board timber to chain-link, weldmesh security, stock, mammal and exclusion fencing. Lines are set out properly, posts are driven with our own plant, and the finished run is straight, square and built to take the wear it's going to get.
We've installed fencing along live highways corridors and open land to main-contractor specifications, including the A585 Windy Harbour to Skippool bypass for Kier, and we sign off without remedials. That's the difference on commercial work: it isn't just putting up a fence, it's hitting the specification, the line and the programme so the principal contractor doesn't have to come back to you.
Because we also clear land and manage vegetation, we can prepare the fence line and install in one visit — clearing the boundary, grubbing out old posts and overgrowth, then setting the new line. As a CHAS, Constructionline Gold and Achilles-accredited contractor with £10 million public liability cover and National Highways Sector Scheme registration, we're pre-qualified for the schemes most fencing subcontractors can't get onto.

What types of fencing do you install?
Post-and-rail and timber, close-board and feather-edge, chain-link and weldmesh security fencing, plus stock, mammal and exclusion fencing for agricultural and ecology work. We also fit gates and access barriers. If you have a specification, we'll install to it; if you don't, we'll recommend the right system for the site.
Do you do highways and main-contractor fencing?
Yes. We've installed fencing along live highways corridors — including the A585 bypass for Kier — working to main-contractor specifications and signing off without remedials. We hold National Highways Sector Scheme registration and the accreditations needed to work on highways and utilities schemes.
Can you clear the fence line before installing?
Yes. Because we also clear land and manage vegetation, we can strip the boundary, grub out old posts and remove overgrowth, then set the new line — all in one visit with one crew, rather than bringing in a separate clearance contractor first.
Do you install mammal and exclusion fencing for ecology schemes?
We do. We've fitted mammal fencing on highways schemes and can install newt, badger and other exclusion fencing to ecological specifications, with the records that ecology and environmental teams need.
Are you insured and accredited?
We carry £10 million public liability cover and hold CHAS, Constructionline Gold, Achilles UVDB and ISO 9001 accreditations. That pre-qualifies us for commercial, council, utilities and highways fencing contracts across the North West.
